Four medals, nicely mounted for wear; Air Medal (one piece construction), Navy Good Conduct, officially impressed “Theodore Xavier Moskal 1944”, National Defense and Korean Service. An unusual grouping, without any WWII service medals present. (I originally thought the Air Medal was for the Korean War when I first acquired this group.) However the award card shows that the AM was for flights in the Pacific in the summer of 1945. Moskal was a Aviation Machinist’s Mate 2nd Class at the time of the award, and obviously had service through at least Korea, but no other service details known. He died in Long Beach, CA in 1989. Ribbons show minor wear and soiling, along with a small hole in the Korean Service ribbon.
